What wasn't meant to be. At least not this year.
Thankfully the surgeries went well. Noah was in on Monday and thankfully there haven't been any major complications. It's still taking him awhile to recover--he still seems a little out of it a lot of the time and is super moody. Aaron went in on Thursday and although his surgery was a lot less intensive he had some kind of reaction to one of the medicines they gave him after the surgery and it made for an interesting ride home. But he's doing excellent now, and other than his bad breath you'd never know he even had surgery!

Noah's tonsils. It seemed like a good idea to add a picture, but
since I last looked at them some of the blood has leaked out of the
tonsils into the fluid and it's kind of gross.

Aaron's tiny tubes from last year. They were still stuck in his ears,
just not in the right places unfortunately!
To add to the fun of our surgical center week, we continued with the medical theme of our "vacation" and Ethan had a dentist appointment on Thursday (it doesn't get any more fun than that!) and Aaron and Noah were able to get the H1N1 vaccination on Saturday. I will say that amidst all this fun, I am so grateful that my boy's were able to get these procedures they so desparately needed and that everyone is safe. I'm hoping that although my kids heads are lighter (void of adenoids, tonsils, and copius amounts of ear fluid) and our pocket books are lighter, that they will be in general more healthy and more happy in the years to come. :)

Oh, what an awful disappointment! I am so sorry. I am glad that everything worked out in the end, but still, that really stinks. Hopefully you will be able to have a mini vacation sometime soon.
A bummer of vacation spending. Glad that they are all doing well and hope you can go on a vacation maybe early next year.
I am glad that everything went well with the surgeries, bummer they had to happen in the first place. Hopefully you can get out on a mini vacation soon.
This is Aaron, So vacation at McKay Dee, Did you at least get to try there cafeteria fries and salad? There better than any you would have gotten in Moab.
Well, the silver lining is that you've gotten this taken care of with your Flex and now you have next year to plan for a vacation. I love your postiveness! - if that's even a word.
